Ronnie Johns your District 27 State Senator (R-Lake Charles) has announced a series of six public meetings regarding the upcoming construction work a.k.a. 14 Months of Lake Charles Traffic Hell starting Tuesday, Aug 7th, from 6pm-7pm at the Epps Memorial Library, 1320 Simmons St., Lake Charles.

You'll get a chance to express your concerns over traffic delays and other safety issues but here are the answers in advance: this is happening, leave early, expect minor and major wrecks, interminable traffic jams and do the best you can. Bring reading materials with you on your commute, now may be a good time to plan to read War and Peace or Atlas Shrugged while you're not moving an inch.

The construction is expected to start in a few weeks and be completed by the fall of 2019, about a year is planned.

Sen. Johns encourages you to attend the meetings, here is the complete line-up.
