As of this morning, Subtropical Storm Alberto is set to bring a lot of rain and gusting winds to deep eastern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the "poor mans Riveria" section of the Panama City Beach, etc., areas of the Florida Panhandle.

According to the National Weather Service Special Tropical Outlook from 1105 AM CDT, Friday, May 25 advisories are being issued. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Tulum to Cabo Catoche, Mexico, and the Cuban province of Pinar del Rio.

The center of Subtropical Storm Alberto is moving north by northeast near 6 MPH and is expected to pass the eastern tip of Yucatan and enter the Gulf of Mexico by Saturday night, approaching the north-central Gulf coast on Monday. Presently highest sustained winds near the center are 40 MPH.
