Your McNeese Cowgirls held off the 18th ranked Baylor Bears through 7 innings last night to advance to the second round game today against Texas A&M, in the NCAA College World Series Softball Tournament, College Station Regional.

McNeese's quick 5 run 1st inning jump and other runs scattered throughout helped them hold off a continuing Bear onrush which came up a run short in the bottom of the 7th handing the Cowgirls an 11-10 win.

The Lake Charles team posted 13 hits last night led by Justyce McClain's 4/4 effort.

The series continues today in College Station with the Aggies who shut out Prairie View A&M 9-0 last night in a game that was stopped after 5 innings. The Cowgirls will be the home team in this afternoons game.
