While all organized government seeks to stem the tide of general suffering for its constituents, rarely is the government in a position to actually stem the suffering of its residents.

The monstrous and record-setting fatal flu epidemic we're witnessing and many of us suffering through this winter has prompted officials in Baton Rouge to try to inoculate as many residents as possible this week with the flu vaccine.

On one day and one day only, the state will give flu vaccines at NO COST from 1 PM until 4:30 at health clinics across the state.
