Houston Harbors Fatal Flu
This has been a wildly productive flu season, productive that is if you happen to be a flu germ, you're having a championship year.
In a season when the vaccine is as much as 90% ineffective on some strains, when the CDC is warning people all over the country about washing hands, sneezing, etc., we all know of some or ourselves have been confined to the bed with a bucket at the side.
Now word comes from Houston confirming four flu-related deaths since November in Houston, Harris County and one in January in next-door Montgomery County.
Two were women in their 60s, the other two were under 60, and last week a man in his 70's died at a Montgomery County hospital from the flu.
Keep washing your hands, cover when you sneeze, stay away from others you know are sick (I know, not easily done) and take a daily vitamin.
