In one of the few remaining weekends before high school and college football capture our attention, it's time for the Arts and Crabs Fest tomorrow (Saturday, Aug 18) at the Burton Coliseum at 7001 Gulf Hwy, in Lake Charles.

If you've never been, give it a thought, think of it as a taste sampling of some of the finest seafood we have to offer along with samples of craft beers and the area's top chefs will battle it out for the annual Best Crab Dish award determined by popular vote.

Another reason to go the fest has been named a Top 20 Event by Southern Tourism for five years in a row. That many southerners can't be wrong.

The Arts and Crab Fest is an annual presentation of the Arts and Humanities Council in conjunction with the SWLA Convention and Visitors Bureau, the event takes place Saturday, Aug 18 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Burton Coliseum. Tickets are $30 and $40.
