Kawasaki Recall: Fuel Leaks
Around 15,000 Kawasaki ATV's dating back to 2013 are being recalled by the company as it has had some 18 complaints over the years of fuel leaking from the fuel cap. As of this time no injuries have been reported but as you can imagine an injury resulting from a fire fed by a full tank could be disastrous.
The recalled models are the KFX50's and KFX90's and a full VIN range is listed here with other recall details. The company says if you own one of these vehicles that sold new for between $2,000 and $2,600 you should contact your nearest Kawasaki dealer for a factory authorized repair, at no charge to you. Even if you did not buy your machine new, a dealer will repair this defect.
