Lavergne’s Location Revealed After Mickey Shunick’s Disappearance [PHOTOS]

We have received more information about Brandon Scott Lavergne’s whereabouts after Mickey Shunick’s disappearance.

This latest development seems to fill in the gaps and create a timeline following Shunick’s disappearance and Lavergne’s arrest. Until this release there was a big piece of the puzzle missing when it came to Lavergne’s story.

Surveillance video captured Shunick on St. Landry Street at 1:48 a.m. On May 19th. Moments after, the white pick up truck police believe is Lavergne’s can be seen following Mickey.

Lafayette Parish Jail

After that, it appears he headed east on I-10 to New Orleans. On May 19th, Lavergne checked into Oschner Hospital on Jefferson Highway around 11:00 pm, claiming he had been attacked and stabbed several times by a stranger at an unknown gas station.

In the incident report, Lavergne told Jefferson Parish deputies he was attacked around 3:00 pm that day, but they said Lavergne could not tell them where the gas station was, he would give no street names, buildings or landmarks.

Lavergne claimed he was visiting friends in town when he was attacked and planned on returning home after he was released from the hospital. He also claims his license and wallet was stolen from him. As Lavergne was asked more questions by a deputy he started to provide less and less information. They filed the report and then the hospital released him.

Jump to 12 days later and Lavergne’s truck is found burned in Texas. We also know that on June 4th he purchased the same truck as the one burned, a new white Z71, from Don’s Wholesale in Lafayette Parish. A month after this he is arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder.

The Lafayette Police say that they were aware of his hospital stay in New Orleans but would not comment on it in order to preserve the integrity of the case.

A new mug shot of Lavergne is also now public. It shows him clean-shaven, unlike his original mug shot from the arrest on July 5th, 2012.

The Lafayette Sheriff’s Office said that they realized they had not charged him with failure to register as a sex offender. The Sheriff’s Office said this pertains to Lavergne allegedly destroying his driver’s license in order to conceal that he was a registered sex offender.
