After an overflight by hurricane hunter aircraft, the National Weather Service in Miami has found that the central pressure of Tropical Storm Kirk has risen over the past few hours.

The center of Kirk is still some 230 miles east of Barbados and is moving about 18 mph WNW. A Tropical Storm watch is in effect for St Vincent and the Grenadines.

Rising central pressure can mean that the storm development will slow, little change in strength is forecast until Kirk crosses the Lesser Antilles, entering into the Carribean the strength of the storm weakening over the eastern Carribean.
