Tropical Wave: High Rainfall and Low Development Chances
According to the National Hurricane Center, a tropical wave is moving westwardly some 750 miles east-southeast of the Windward Islands and is producing a large area of disorganized cloudiness and rain showers.
According to this Tropical Weather Outlook published earlier today, some gradual development of the system is possible, but by late Saturday unfavorable environmental conditions should minimalize its development.
Further formation chances calculated by the Hurricane Center are at 10% over the next two days and 20% over the next five.
The Lesser Antilles are very likely to see locally heavy rainfall the next few days, regardless of further development.
