Wet Mardi Outlook
Weekend Weather Update
Mardi Gras coming in the dead of winter like it does lives and breathes on decent weather for the parade portion of the fun. We've lucked out and had a lot of beautiful clear sunny February days over the years with a touch of coolness in the air parade side, and we've had wet ones and this one will fall into the latter category.
So yeah, mother nature is going to rain on our parade.
As of 4 PM CST 2.10.18 the National Weather Service here in Lake Charles advised continued showers and T-Storms with a 90% probability through tonight. Some of the rain could be heavy as sections of the storm pass over. South winds tonight 5-10.
Sunday rain continues through the night (tonight after midnight) and on into the day tomorrow. Cloudiness will dominate with winds from the west 5-10 as temps drop to about 53 in the afternoon. Winds will shift to from the north by sunset. The chance of rain throughout the day is 60% slipping to 50% by Sunday night.
As of now the outlook for Monday is a 40% chance of showers down to 20% by Fat Tuesday.
