Where to See Fireworks!
There may be some things more pleasant, but not many things are more enjoyable than spreading a blanket on a breezy summer night and laying back and looking up at the dark sky for 30 or 40 minutes worth of fireworks.
For 2017 Here are some area fireworks displays and festivities -
Today July 3rd - Stars and Stripes Celebration at the Louisiana Oil and Gas Park, exit 64 from I-10 Jennings. The park is adjacent and just to the north of I-10. Gates open a 4PM for live music, crafts, and guests are invited to bring their ice chests along with a lawn chair. The Gator House is available to look over alligators. Fireworks begin at 9 PM. There is a $5 per person entry fee, kids 12 and under free.
Fourth of July - Lake Charles - Red, White Blue and You. Parade at 6 from downtown on Ryan, ending at Dr. DeBakey Drive, then by 6:45 a Salute to Armed Forces at the Civic Center. There will be music and crafts, the fireworks are slated to begin at 9:15 PM over the lake. Everything is free and open to the public.
Riverfront Park Beaumont - take the downtown exit off I-10 from either direction, the park is just behind the Beaumont Civic Center. Live music gets underway at 5 PM with the fireworks starting at 9 PM.
Orange Convention and Visitors Bureau is putting on a show tomorrow at the Riverfront Boardwalk and Pavilion at 601 W. Division. The fun gets underway at 5 PM with live music and festivities. Fireworks due overhead at 9 PM.
Enjoy yourself, a lot of effort, commitment and sacrifice went into the invention of the "4TH of July"
