Buckle Up In Your Truck Safety Checkpoint Saturday says CPSO
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office announced the departments plans to take part in the national Buckle Up In Your Truck safety campaign Saturday 27 April.
Even if we knew where the checkpoint is going to be, we wouldn't tell you. It's too important to remember to buckle up, even though you're only running to the store for a minute. Statistics steadily show that most accidents happen within thirty miles of your home.
The law in Louisiana clearly specifies that all passengers in the vehicle are to be buckled up, front and back seats.
As well, deputies will be watching for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
