Cowboys Explode in 14th To Whip Cougs in Houston
In the incoming fog from the coast, under the glare of the lights in the misty coolness of late February the McNeese Cowboys exploded with enough heat to be felt all the way back to Lake Charles from Houston Wednesday night.
The Cowboy bats woke up late in the game, to begin with after a 6 inning snooze they tied Houston in the 9th 3-3, and that's how it stayed until the top of the 14th.
Sr right-handed pitcher Aidan Anderson from West Orange-Stark had a fantastic outing in relief.
That was a warrior effort by Aidan said head coach Justin Hill, we brought him in when the game was close at 3-1 because we knew we needed to keep it close going into the ninth and he did a good job of keeping the score there. Hill added After we tied it up he didn’t want to come out the game and he did a good job of keeping his pitch count low and hanging zeros.
The Cowboys are back in Joe Miller Ballpark this weekend hosting Creighton and Texas State in this year's Lake Area Classic.
