Cowboys In Conference Play vs Sam Houston in Huntsville, Texas
The McNeese Cowboys are coming off a 2-0 shutout of the LSU Tigers to put their 14-11, 2-4, record on the line this weekend against the Sam Houston Bearkats.
Games are scheduled for today at 6 pm, Saturday at 3 and the Sunday finale's first pitch is 1 pm.
While McNeese is coming off a shutout of SEC cross-state rival LSU, they've struggled with SLC partner Sam Houston, only winning two out of the past 17 matchups since '12.

Sr Rhett Deaton will get the ball for his seventh start, Friday against UIW Deaton held the Cardinals to three runs and seven hits over 6.1. This season Deaton is 3-2 with a 4.75 ERA.
