Even the heaviest hitters on the McNeese Cowgirls softball squad couldn't find an answer for LSU's Maribeth Gorsuch, who retired seven McNeese batters last night in Tiger Park. It was Gorsuch's tenth win on the season and fifth shutout. That's some arm she's got.

McNeese fell behind early to the 7th ranked team in the nation 4-0. But the defense stepped up and LSU scored no more after that fourth run crossed home. Cowgirl hitters managed 3 on the night, the team had two errors, one of which resulted in a Tiger run.
