The 2018 Softball Season continues this weekend in College Station, Texas as the McNeese Cowgirls head for the Texas A&M regional starting Friday at 3:30 PM (18 May) against Baylor. The Cowgirls made the bracket (see the bracket here) when it was announced by the NCAA last night.

The four-team regional tournament includes Texas A&M, Baylor, Prarie View A&M and McNeese. It's the second NCAA appearance for the Cowgirls who went in 2005. As an added bonus for Lake Charles and SWLA, the games will be seen on ESPN3.

You can purchase your tickets now via phone at 888-992-4443 or online at (scroll down to 'softball') or at the Kyle Field Box Office at the north end of the stadium. Texas A&M has and does enforce a clear bag policy as many other stadiums now do, so be prepared with a clear bag for whatever you bring into the stadium.

Ticket prices range from free for those under 2 years old, to $10, single day admission up to $35 for an all-session pass to see all the games.

Parking is in the Reed Arena lot just behind the left field wall of Davis Diamond.

Other points of interest to see and visit during your visit to College Station include the Sanders Corps of Cadets Center on the A&M campus celebrating the rich history and traditions of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, along with a brick walkway of Cadets who've made an impact on their fellow cadets.

Another interesting locale to visit is the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library which is just a few minutes from the softball field and recently made news as the final resting place of former First Lady Barbra Bush.

Congratulations to the 2018 McNeese Cowgirls and best wishes heading into the NCAA tournament.
