Dog Food Recall: Euthanasia Drug Found
Traces of the drug pentobarbital were found in several dog food brands prompting the company J.M. Smuckers to initiate a voluntary recall even though they're assuring the public that this is 'not a threat to pet safety'.
Affected labels include limited quantities of Gravy Train, Kibbles 'N Bits, and Skippy.

Health officials warn that pentobarbital can affect an animal that ingests it, inclusive of humans, causing various effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, excitement, loss of balance and in sufficient quantities it can be fatal.
