The series will kick off on Friday, May 15 with Austin-based musician, Wendy Colonna, who is originally from Southwest Louisiana.

The City of Lake Charles is kicking off the 17th annual Down Town at Sundown every Friday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. from May 15 to June 5. The concert series brings thousands of residents and visitors to the Downtown Lake Charles area, and with the “street-fair” format will feature a variety of music and entertainment as well as food and beverage, table top galleries, merchandise vendors and activities for kids, it's an event you won't want to miss!

Wendy Colonna will be headlining at the first Down Town at Sundown of the year, according to VisitLakeCharles.com "her most recent album, “Nectar,” invites listeners to taste the sweetness of life in stories of surrender, mortality and redemption. With her swampy-southern-soulful style, Colonna displays grit, grace and a sense of humor as she shares her journey of a return to innocence. The songs on “Nectar” showcase Colonna’s singular vocal abilities with a natural simplicity and authenticity."
