The McNeese Cowgirls split a conference double-header with Houston Baptist this afternoon, behind the power of freshman Saleen Flores dominating one hit performance.

Houston Baptist won the eerie game 5-4, the second game win placed McNeese at 16-20 overall and 7-4. The rubber game is Saturday at noon.

For Flores, the game was her career first one-hitter and first shutout. She attends McNeese as a product of A.C. Jones HS in Beeville, Texas. She lettered in softball, volleyball and track, was four-time A.C. Jones Pitcher of the Year, 4 time All-South Texas, two-time all-stater and district MVP and smart too, a three time all-academic winner.

Landreneau Wins 100th

Head Coach James Landreneau, now in his third year at McNeese enjoyed his 100th win. Landreneau has won 40+ games the past two seasons and has guided our hometown university to record wins in '17 with 43.
