As I said before, it is November, and it is time for tropical and subtropical cyclonic activity to end. Heck, we've even turned our clocks back a full hour, and people are Christmas shopping! That's how far from Hurricane Season we are. Apparently, Mother Nature isn't in total agreement.

If this disturbance continues to advance to the naming stage, perhaps we could borrow from Gordon Lightfoot and call it the witch of November.

The National Weather Service is estimating this well-defined low-pressure system at a 70% chance of cyclone formation over the next five days. If it doesn't form by Thursday, it will have moved over the colder waters of the far north Atlantic (Titanic sinking area), and will hopefully be the last kicking remnant of a season that brought us Harvey, Irma, and Maria.
