Wear Your Seat belt Through June 2nd Or Risk a Ticket
If you're wondering what will happen to you if you stop wearing your seatbelt after June 2nd when the CPSO Click It or Ticket effort ends, I can tell you now. You'll run the same higher risk of death or severe injury while driving as you do anytime you're not wearing a seatbelt.
Obviously the idea is to buckle up all the time, every time no matter the distance you're going.
That's why the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is again participating in the Click-It or Ticket Program today through June 2nd. To remind and insure we don't leave home without the click.
So whenever you leave home, no matter where you're going, no matter where the undisclosed checkpoints are, if you're buckled up you're covered. And by the way, according to Louisiana Law, every passenger inside a vehicle must be wearing a seatbelt.
